Mary Swift Book Collection
Mary H.D. Swift was a writer, photographer, and curator, who served as managing editor of the Washington Review, a high quality tabloid devoted to the visual, performing and literary art scenes in the Washington, D.C. area between 1975 and 2002. Swift’s papers, which included tape recorded interviews with many artistic luminaries of the time, are held in the Smithsonian Libraries’ Archives of American Art, and her art collection is part of the American University Museum at the Katzen Arts Center. Swift passed away in 2022.
